In life's hectic journey, we try to find a way to unwind. For most of us this means flying to exotic destinations in search of relaxation.  Many of us do so with those who are closest to us. For some people, this is man's best friend.  Our goal at the Flying Dog Cafe represents that destination for relaxation and companionship.

I opened the Flying Dog Café in Sarasota, Florida in February of 2005.  We are located on Tallevast Road just east of Route 41 on the north end outer perimeter of the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport.  We serve some of the best sandwiches, salads, wraps, and panini’s in town.  Our huge sandwiches all made with Boar’s Head Products are the talk of the town.  You will love our homemade chili and delicious soups.  We also have daily specials.  We have an excellent selection of domestic and imported beer in bottles and on tap.  Our “Flying Dog Pale Ale” is legendary!

If its entertainment you are looking for than the Flying Dog Café is you new destination.  We have entertainment 3 nights a week with “Open Mic” nights and we have some of the best local bands performing.  Check out our entertainment schedule on this website.  Need to get some work done while eating?  We have “free wireless internet!”

Bring your friends…..come in for a fantastic lunch or dinner.  If you come for dinner, check out our schedule and stay for the entertainment.  You will have a great time.  We’re local, we have a great staff who love serving you and I am in the kitchen all of the time.  I look forward to meeting you at the Flying Dog Café!

In memory of Dewey, my loving dog and best friend.
Yours truly,
Bruce Famiglio, Owner
